What is the primary focus of the Oracle OEM Expert role?
The primary focus is to deliver post-sales support and solutions to the Oracle customer base while advocating for customer needs, resolving non-technical and technical inquiries, and facilitating relationships with Support.
What qualifications are required for this role?
Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience, along with a minimum of 6-8 years of experience and certification in Oracle Product.
What kind of technical problems will I be responsible for resolving?
You'll be responsible for moderately sophisticated technical problems related to the installation, maintenance, use, and troubleshooting of Oracle products, specifically in the context of OEM.
What experience is required in regard to OEM?
Candidates must have hands-on experience with OEM architecture, OMS installation and troubleshooting, OEM Agent installation and troubleshooting, and knowledge of target types like Cluster, Database, ASM, Listener, and others.
Will I be required to interact with customers?
Yes, this role involves substantial customer interfacing where you will communicate with the customer's IT staff, potentially both onsite and remotely.
Is experience with disaster recovery important for this role?
Yes, providing support in executing disaster recovery drills on OEM and OMS is a key aspect of the role.
What kind of tools will I need to be familiar with?
Familiarity with graphic/dashboard rendering tools like Grafana or similar tools for preparing enterprise-level dashboards is required.
Are there advanced expectations for the OEM Administrator?
