What are the working hours for the outpatient staff nurse position?
The working hours are 22.5 hours per week from Monday to Friday.
What specialties will I be working in?
The clinics are varied but mostly include nephrology, gastroenterology, ophthalmology, rheumatology, and dermatology.
Will I have any leadership responsibilities?
Yes, the band 5 nurse will need to manage and take responsibility for the outpatient team when the Team Leader is away.
How will I ensure the clinic runs smoothly?
You will manage the day-to-day clinics, prioritize workload, supervise the team, and manage handovers, particularly during lunchtime.
What is expected in terms of team management?
You will be expected to maintain morale and motivation within the working team and be proactive in dealing with problems or complaints.
