Requirements

  • Education / qualifications / experience:
  • Law graduate with a first or upper second class degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum 12 months' paralegal experience or other relevant legal work experience (preferred)
  • Experience using legal research databases (preferred)
  • General Skills/Attributes:
  • Highly organised and methodical approach to the role as well as confidence with IT systems
  • Attention to detail and the confidence to work independently
  • Willingness to travel to London as required
  • Highly motivated and commercially astute
  • Excellent communication skills and a collegiate, team-based attitude
  • The ability to work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy
  • Self-motivated, hardworking, reliable and works well under pressure
  • Ability to work on multiple matters in parallel

Responsibilities

  • Providing general administrative support to fee-earners including drafting, reviewing and proof-reading legal documents
  • Researching points of law and other factual issues and preparing reports on the same
  • Collating, organising, uploading and managing documents in Workshare Transact and any other online dataroom service
  • Working on various stages of disclosure exercises including document review in the firm's legal review platform (Relativity).
  • Compiling and working through conditions precedent lists before closing.
