Requirements

  • Good knowledge of the law or working in a legal environment (which could include paralegal experience, a law degree, or completion of a paralegal qualification or a qualification like the LPC or equivalent).
  • An agile mindset, comfortable acting in a fast-paced environment and prioritising when faced with competing demands.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective links within and across teams and work collaboratively with colleagues.
  • Proactive in ensuring that the Legal Practice Management team has the support that it needs and the practice runs efficiently, including suggesting how we can improve.
  • Happy to use your own judgement and initiative to take actions and make decisions.
  • Strong communication, planning and organisation skills and attention to detail.
  • Expertise in relation to use of legal technology and automation would also be desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to develop and embed the Legal Practice Management function, responsible for all operational and financial aspects of legal practice management.
  • Support centralised resourcing of the LCR legal practice, including demand planning and capacity management.
  • Carry out different aspects of paralegal work including document preparation, research and case/matter management.
  • Contribute to the delivery of ongoing transformation initiatives to streamline processes and systems for LCR and delivery of wider LCR and L&S strategic initiatives, in particular workflow allocation, reporting, automation and technology.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider LCR team and business stakeholders.
