Requirements

Relevant experience in a similar role or in an insurance environment is desirable but not essential and we are happy to hear from graduates who are team players and have the passion for learning.
Ability to structure your time well, prioritise work effectively and recognise when to ask for help.
Good communication skills to liaise with clients, intermediaries and colleagues.
Ability to critically look at factual evidence, identify key legal arguments and apply the same.

Responsibilities

You are expected to provide a timely, professional and high-quality service to our clients in the management of pre-litigated and litigated recovery cases. Depending on your role, and with the support of a supervisor and team manager you will be expected to:
Screen matters for prospects and liaise with clients upon receipt of instructions.
Review instructions and provide client advice on case prospects.
Be responsible for a varied caseload of pre-litigated and litigated work.
Assess liability and quantum and develop an appropriate strategy for the case.
Resolve claims through negotiation and litigation within client service standards.
Instruct experts and counsel, draft Witness Statements and other Court documents.
Maintain contact with our clients and their Customers whilst proactively managing their expectations.
Meet individual performance measures (financial performance, realisation rates and other KPIs).
Ensure that the DAC Beachcroft brand and standards are maintained.
