The candidate will work on developing the mathematical foundations of multiparameter persistent homology. The position is part of the VIDI Project &ldquo;New Connections in Topological Data Analysis&rdquo;, and will be supervised by Magnus Bakke Botnan. In addition, the student will be a member of the Center for Topology and Applications Amsterdam (www.cta2.nl).

The appointment will initially be for 1 year. After a satisfactory evaluation of the initial appointment, the contract will be extended for a further 3 years.
