Responsibilities

  • The Planning Analyst is responsible for the analyzing of sales data, market trends and inventory levels to develop strategic plans and forecasts that optimize merchandise buying, inventory management and ultimately maximize sales and profitability by providing insights and recommendations to Directors of Planning and the VP, Planning & Allocations, along with communicating the results and analysis to leadership. This role heavily relies on data analysis to identify opportunities and risks, ensuring efficient allocation of stock across stores while aligning with overall business goals. This position partners with the Directors of Planning to identify the reporting needs of the business and design new financial reporting as needed. Responsible for weekly reporting as well as additional ad hoc reporting to meet the needs of the business. Requires flexibility to the needs of the business and pivots based on the evolution of the brands initiatives.
  • Analyze historical sales data and market trends, to identify patterns and forecast future demand
  • Collaborate with merchants to develop merchandise strategies, including product assortment, pricing and promotional plans
  • Identify emerging trends and market shifts to inform buying decisions. To predict outcomes and recommend actions to align with goals
  • Support the planning team on deliverables for key milestone meetings and strategies
  • Lead all size selling analysis and provide teams with future recommendations
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Partners with Directors to provide choice count analysis and future targets
  • Partners with team to appropriately set up, read, and action all major tests
  • Leads, coaches, trains and develops the planning team on all systems
  • Influences cross-functional teams in support of planning strategies serving as a strategic thought partner
  • Ad hoc reporting to support the total Express planning team
