  • This is a new post in the Medical Education department, which will play an integral part, in developing new and supporting existing programmes to improve the quality of education in the Trust.
  • The postholder will be required to work across the North West London Acute Provider Collaborative (APC) with local Directors of Medical Education in order to scope opportunities for collaboration as part of the Locally Employer Doctor (LED) Career Pathways priority workstream.
  • LED Career Pathways are alternative training programmes with appropriate, robust governance structures.
  • These local programmes incorporate trust grade posts in rotations, and provide additional incentives including training and academic opportunities, study leave funding, and a clear route for progression, with the aim of making these posts more attractive which has benefits for both the doctor and the Trust.
  • They will liaise with a range of stakeholders to develop the implementation plan for the educational framework during a pilot and plan for full roll-out.
  • This fellowship is an excellent opportunity for a junior doctor, who is interested in developing their education portfolio, to significantly develop their management skills and understanding of the operational management of medical education in a large, complex Trust.
  • This post will allow the post-holder to develop skills in project design, management, leadership, delivery and support of teaching programmes as well as project assessment.
