Requirements

  • Motivated, creative, quality focused applicants with a minimum of a BSEE from an accredited university, with exposure or experience in Power Systems.
  • EIT certification or the ability to complete EIT certification is required.
  • Good analytical, mathematical, database, spreadsheet, and computer skills.
  • Accurate with data and calculations and efficient with time.

Responsibilities

  • Produces all Electrical project deliverables, including electrical power system studies (ETAP, SKM, short circuit, load flow, etc.), electrical area classification drawings, one-line diagrams, schematics and wiring design; reviews/checks lighting, power, grounding, and raceway plan drawings, and specifies electrical equipment such as Motor Control Centers and Switchgear for LNG, Energy Transition, Carbon Capture, Refining and Petrochemical Plant projects.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
  • Reports to the Lead Electrical Engineer on a particular project.
  • Monitors and advise Lead EE of changes.
  • Understands design concepts and design data for scope assigned to him/her and assures technical accuracy and conformance to project requirements.
  • Prepares Engineering Change Request as required.
  • Keeps track of progress and updates schedules on particular tasks.
  • Researches suitable solutions and estimated cost and timescales.
  • Generates electrical equipment and construction specifications.
  • Generates electrical equipment requisitions, analyzes quotes, manages PO’s, reviews vendor documents.
  • Independently evaluates the selection and/or modification of standard techniques, procedures, criteria and systems to efficiently meet project goals.
  • Applies standard engineering tasks and exhibits a working knowledge of applicable codes.
  • Reviews and generates design data from various inputs.
  • Performs sophisticated and complicated designs and electrical calculations in accordance with established company standards.
  • Coordinates details and miscellaneous design criteria with other disciplines.
  • Assists designers and drafters in their assignments.
  • Prepares and /or supervises engineering reports, studies, calculations and checks drawings as required.
