Requirements

  • Previous experience in an Actuarial role
  • Experience in a fast-flow Pricing role would be an advantage
  • Highly numerate and analytical
  • Ability to manage own and other team members’ work
  • Working knowledge of SQL / R
  • Working towards Actuarial qualifications
  • Excellent knowledge of Actuarial professional guidance
  • Market, risk and business awareness
  • Good knowledge of insurance products
  • Communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the delivery of pricing and portfolio management solutions through data analysis and modelling.
  • Demonstrating increasing knowledge of relevant actuarial disciplines and procedures, including claim trend analysis and modelling, to be able to provide first class service to external and internal customers.
  • Regular reporting of key metrics and trends across our eTrade and Schemes portfolios.
  • Regular liaison with external stakeholders and internal Retail Underwriting, Reserving, Claims and Finance teams, to communicate and understand key portfolio trends.
  • Supporting the development and implementation of model improvements and enrichment datasets to enhance the quality of technical price.
  • Calculating and monitoring of technical price parameters.
  • Developing and maintaining systems, incorporating efficiencies or improvements as required.
  • Contributing to a positive, inclusive and supportive team culture.
