Responsibilities

  • Lead development of a design programme in association with Technical and Discipline Leads, recording information required and assumptions. Lead the monitoring and reporting of the programme.
  • Co-ordinate and agree definitions of package scope and technical delivery of the packages. Manage the project delivery to meet the scope by controlling change, budgets and resource.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination between stakeholders to foster a positive and collaborative relationships, internally and external
  • Lead project commercial activities generally e.g. invoicing, creating job numbers, project reporting, managing dashboards
  • Support the Principal Designer (CDM-PD) in planning, managing, monitoring, and coordinating health and safety during the pre-construction phase, ensuring compliance with CDM 2015 regulations. This includes helping discipline leads identify and manage health and safety risks, coordinating with other designers and the principal contractor, facilitating effective communication among stakeholders, and assisting in compiling relevant pre-construction information.
  • Advocate and Champion for Arup’s Emerging BRPD Design Services: Promote and support the growth of in-house BRPDs by developing, streamlining, and standardising processes and project communication. Ensure best practices are maintained, facilitate training and development, and act as a key point of contact for BRPD-related guidance within the organisation.
