Requirements

  • Product management - Strong knowledge and experience in product management, sufficient to identify, develop, and implement approved initiatives (experience preferably in financial services).
  • Product Strategic Planning- As a Product Manager, the incumbent will assist with annual strategic business plans and business cases for Simplii Credit Cards, in consultation with leadership team. They will make recommendations to drive sales effectiveness, create operational efficiency and strategic congruence. They will also be responsible for maintaining and sharing product value propositions and strategies that align to the Simplii brand and franchise strategy
  • Analytical - Understand and interpret complex information, identify patterns and trends in new or strategic areas, and develop recommendations, often with minimal direction in order to respond to urgent business priorities.
  • Stakeholder Management- This job interacts on a regular basis with senior management within Simplii Financial including the VPs and Senior Directors within Simplii, business leaders/stakeholders in the Digital and Direct or Retail and Business Banking lines of businesses including Digital Channels, Call centers, Product, Marketing and Payments, various other CIBC departments (Legal, Compliance, Privacy, Finance, Risk Management) and external vendors as required.
  • Competitive Assessment and Monitoring: The incumbent will be accountable for performance of Simplii Cards KPIs through strategic management and ongoing analysis of trends and the competitive landscape. In addition they will support weekly/monthly/quarterly/financial forecasts & reporting.

Responsibilities

  • As a member of the Simplii Lending team, you’ll be responsible for supporting and executing the development of acquisition and engagement strategies to maximize client profitability and remain competitive in the marketplace. you will oversee the day-to-day management of the portfolio; and influence the ongoing growth of the Simplii Financial franchise and its positive contribution to the CIBC enterprise. You will work closely with product peers and cross functional resources to achieve business objectives including revenue, profit, account opens, balances, market share and NPS goals.
