Responsibilities

  • Supports the program director by performing administrative duties related to planning, directing and coordinating both the academic and operational activities of the program.
  • Research STAAR EOC history and needs for new Full-time admissions, (requires access to secure Texas Assessment Management System granted by DTC).
  • Contact student/parent upon STAAR EOC course enrollment to provide and discuss test dates, locations, requirements, and scores.
  • Maintain department spreadsheets of Full-time Students’ STAAR EOC, TAKS, or TAAS graduation requirements.
  • Assist DTC with secure STAAR materials receiving, storage, shipping, and participate in annual district testing coordinator training, TEA TETNs, and ETS webinars regarding STAAR.
  • Document and update STAAR EOC scores in SIS, student folders, and Full-time spreadsheet, (requires access to secure Texas Assessment Management System granted by DTC).
  • Assist with student test registrations in Texas Assessment TIDE portal (access granted by DTC).
  • Serve as a test site coordinator and/or administrator during annual STAAR and EOC testing.
  • Attend local and regional testing coordinator trainings and workshops to remain up-to-date on responsibilities of district testing departments.
  • Maintain documentation of communication with students and families from the district testing department.
