What is the purpose of the Psychology Post Doctoral Residency in Pain Medicine?
The purpose of the residency is to provide 2000 hours of supervised clinical postdoctoral training in pain medicine. Completion of this program will satisfy one of the requirements to sit for the psychology licensing exam.
What types of supervision are provided in this residency program?
The program provides 2 hours per week of individual supervision, group supervision, and didactic training. Supervision is provided by licensed psychologists.
What are some of the opportunities available in this residency program?
Opportunities may include providing short-term individual therapy, family therapy, crisis intervention, chemical dependency evaluation, adult and adolescent group therapy, psycho-educational groups, and psychological assessment.
