Requirements

  • Education requirement: Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Management, Sociology, Psychology, Political Science, or a related field.
  • Experience Requirement: Three (3) years of professional or technical level experience planning the administrative aspects of a program(s) or training program participants and/or volunteers. (Some positions may require experience in a specific program area.)
  • One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post high school education for all classifications. Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with community leaders and internal and external stakeholders such as the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure and Parks & Recreation, Artist, Finance and Budget and the City Attorney’s Office
  • Demonstrate Strong written and oral communication skills through presentations and written content that engages diverse audiences
  • Manage a portfolio of approximately 20 projects simultaneously, including moving them through a detailed and complex contracting process
  • Be responsible for managing budgets for various projects
  • Demonstrate a commitment to infusing diversity, equity and inclusion practices in your work
  • Facilitate the selection process for the community to choose art installations or experiences
  • Conduct research based on the project requirements
