Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for scheduling radiotherapy appointments, collating and validating radiotherapy coding and completing general administrative tasks as required.
  • In addition to this, the role will involve liaising with patients and our multi-professional team.
  • The Radiotherapy Support Worker will be responsible for providing a high standard of administrative support and a highly professional, patient-focused service to the Radiotherapy service.
  • The post holder will be responsible for Radiotherapy administration including the booking of patients through the Radiotherapy Pathway ensuring all associated tasks are completed in accordance with local protocol.
  • The post holder will liaise on a daily basis with a range of staff including radiographers, nursing staff, clerical and secretarial staff, healthcare scientists, consultant clinical oncologists and chemotherapy schedulers.
  • The post holder will liaise directly with the patient regarding their pre-treatment or treatment appointment, providing information and reassurance.
