Responsibilities

  • Directs the work of ramp agents as they unload and load luggage, freight, and cargo on and off commercial aircraft. Drive and operate small specialized commercial vehicles. Physical demands include heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, and stretching.
  • Supervise lead agents; allocating ramp agent resources as needed.
  • Complete shift reports and clear all exceptions from the T&A system in a timely manner
  • Ensure that ramp personnel adheres to established company safety regulations.
  • Read and interpret aircraft weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous material identification labels, aircraft loading manifest, and baggage and cargo routing tags.
  • Assist in the baggage handling area.
  • May occasionally operate various pieces of ground support equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
