Responsibilities

  • To provide a reception service, welcoming service users, ensuring an efficient, polite and friendly reception service is provided at all times.
  • To answer all telephone calls from patients and professional staff in a helpful and friendly manner and to ensure all calls not pertaining to the outpatients department are dealt with politely and efficiently and re-routed where appropriate.
  • To maintain a helpful and efficient approach whilst assisting patients to book their outpatients appointments as per Outpatients Booking Policy.
  • Liaising with clinical staff when clinics are fully booked in order to provide an overbooking service to all patients in all clinics.
  • To arrive all patients for clinics and check personal details are correct.
