  • The main duties of the role are to support the ward team and provide reception and administrative cover.
  • To be responsible for providing clerical support during admission, transfer and discharge of patients.
  • To welcome patients and families into the unit and ensure details are correct on the system.
  • To be responsible for ensuring that case notes are complete and in order before being sent to other wards and departments.
  • To promptly manage incoming and outgoing post.
  • To ensure outpatient appointments are booked correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring Careflow is updated daily with correct patient details.
  • This role also includes supporting the ward team by ordering and stocking up essential equipment and paperwork.
