Requirements

  • A entry-to-practice pharmacy degree with approximately five years’ of relevant prior experience, including experience as a preceptor (or an equivalent combination of training and experience).
  • Excellent communication (verbal, written, on-line) and interpersonal skills and ability to work one-on-one with individuals and with groups as necessary.
  • Excellent time management, organization, attention to detail, prioritizing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • - Interact with local current partners to communicate program needs, criteria for participation and available supports. Ensure current partners meet criteria for participation.
  • - Identify potential partners and work with the Coordinator, Practice Experience to initiate and develop relationships.
  • - Review new sites and preceptors for the provision of full scope practice and identify suitability for varying placements.
  • - Contact students and preceptors during courses to assist with any issues and refer complex situations.
  • - Respond to questions from students and preceptors and intercede in issues not requiring input from the Coordinator, Practice Experience or the Assistant Director, Practice Experience.
