Requirements

  • Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
  • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.

Responsibilities

  • New registered nurse (RN) graduates benefit from a comprehensive, personalized support system. All RNs in their first nursing role are invited to participate in a Nurse Residency Program alongside nursing orientation. The program provides socialization and support, enhances clinical judgment, and promotes professional development.
  • 6N Cardiopulmonary:
  • We have an exciting nursing opportunity on our Advanced Cardiopulmonary (6N) unit at Methodist Hospital! This 26-bed unit is unique in that it is an acuity adaptable unit, nurses care for a variety of patient acuity levels, including Progressive Care! Possible patient diagnoses include: COPD, CHF, Pulmonary Fibrosis, ventilated patients, pneumonia, lung cancer, and ENT.
