What is the role of a Research Nurse at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust?
The Research Nurse will provide specialist research and clinical care to participants, manage and coordinate delegated research studies, and carry out various responsibilities related to patient care and data management.
What qualifications are required for this position?
Candidates must be a Registered Nurse or Statutory Registered Allied Health Professional on the relevant part of the register (NMC/HCPC), with evidence of ongoing professional development and post-registration experience in a relevant clinical specialty.
Is oncology experience required for this role?
While oncology experience is preferred, it is not essential. Full research training will be provided through the induction and ongoing educational program.
What are the working hours for this position?
The position typically involves office hours from Monday to Friday, but the service operates 24/7 based on study protocols and patient needs, allowing for some flexibility in hours.
Will I receive training and support in this role?
