Responsibilities

  • - The clinical experience will be across a variety of specialities and care groups.
  • - This may include an area within medicine, such as Geriatric Medicine, Cardiology, Respiratory, Rheumatology, Renal, Haematology or Acute Medicine which all provide stimulating and diverse educational opportunities.
  • - Other areas are also available, such as specialties within the care groups of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Surgery and Anaesthetics, Urology and Emergency Medicine.
  • - A weekly timetable ensures a mix of duties to develop your experience and further your knowledge.
  • - You will be required to keep accurate notes that are dated, legible and signed.
  • - Undertake VT Assessment and EDN as required.
  • - You will also be responsible for care and day-to-day clinical management under the direction of the relevant Consultant.
  • - The appointee will be expected to cover for absence of colleagues at short notice, e.g. sickness.
  • - Cover outside the Rota requiring extra hours of work will be paid as additional work at nationally agreed rates and will be coordinated to be compliant with the relevant legislation.
