Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Health Services Manager, the Scheduling Clerk reviews needs input by the Scheduling Coordinators to ensure timely shift coverage based on department requirements.
  • They liaise with Scheduling Coordinators related to shift coverage for short team needs and follow-up on assigned tasks.
  • Scheduling clerks update schedules and time codes related to shift coverages ensuring contractual obligations are met, and ensure daily staffing numbers are balanced, maintaining dashboards or consoles and handling changes due to leaves and attrition.
  • The clerk is also responsible for updating and using work area specific casual lists, reporting, auditing, and ensuring communication about processes regularly.
