Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Product Owners to ensure the product log is well-groomed, refined, and prioritized, and that user stories are clear and actionable.
  • Carry out training/mentoring in standard methodology to the Project Team and other NHS 24 staff and contributes to their development, through knowledge and lessons learned.
  • Guide the team in understanding and implementing Agile principles and practices, serving as a coach and mentor to promote self-organisation and accountability.
  • Guide our agile development processes, fostering collaboration, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality products.
  • Provide effective management of Project Manager Team, as well as ongoing development of the Project Managers processes.
  • Provide expert technical consultancy across NHS24, including the installation, configuration and support of specialised hardware and software.
  • Budget management with a staffing budget with respect to the Project Team, undertaking budget forecasting to ensure budget limits are adhered to.
  • Make judgements and interpretations across the complete and complex technology spectrum including components such as legislation, policies and guidance which have conflicting priorities and expert opinions.
  • Build external and third-party supplier relationships to ensure full commitment and support on an ongoing basis.
