Responsibilities

  • Oversight of the administration and compliance of specialized paid and unpaid leave and disability programs including state paid sick and family leave, short and long-term disability, FMLA and paid family leave. Act as liaison/consultant to the Shared Services Team on these programs.
  • Administration of voluntary benefits including but not limited to: Life, AD&D, Pet Insurance, Critical Illness, Hospital Indemnity, Accident, Life with Long Term Care, Legal, ID Protection.
  • Support Service Contract Act administration, calculation review, employee inquiries, troubleshooting, and resolution.
  • Develop communications to employees, participants, managers and other internal stakeholders, including the VP of Benefits and SVP of Total Rewards.
  • Manage communications for the benefits team and lead Annual Enrollment communications in collaboration with internal and external consultants.
  • Respond to internal and external audit inquiries.
  • Assist and provide counseling to benefit plan participants.
  • Respond to survey requests as directed by the VP of Benefits.
  • Support internal proposal requests for benefits information.
  • Interact with other functional areas such as communications, finance, risk management, legal and government compliance.
  • Develop policies and procedures that support best practices, compliance and positive user experience.
  • Participate in Merger & Acquisition activities including analysis and integration.
  • Other special projects as assigned.
