  • A thorough understanding of the fundamentals of data warehousing, big data, data lakes, data governance and data management with a focus on the data architecture field.

  • Strong knowledge of industry-wide architecture patterns and approaches with the ability to derive meaningful insights from requirements and think big picture.

Responsibilities

  • Design robust, reusable, and scalable data solutions and pipeline frameworks to automate ingestion, processing and delivery of batch and real-time streaming data
  • Lead data architecture initiatives and collaborate with Data Analysts, Data Engineers, Data Governance and Business partners to ensure designs follow data management standards and best practices
  • Recommend the appropriate data stores and build/maintain conceptual, logical and physical data models for transactional, Business Intelligence, operational and analytical platforms
  • Produce and implement solutions for all stages and aspects of the data solution life cycle, including non-functional requirements such as high availability and disaster recovery. This involves leading the team in data acquisition, publication, quality, security, metadata management
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends in data architecture, to continuously improve and enhance the data platform
