Requirements

Degree/experience requirement: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a technical curriculum. Extensive experience in off highway mobile hydraulics.
Product Design and Development: Knowledge of off highway construction machines and the ability to design, build, and develop a new product from concept through to production.
Technical Excellence: Candidate must have strong analytical skills. Incumbent will develop and provide solutions for significant technical issues related to quality, velocity, and cost objectives.
Effective Communication: Ability to communicate, collaborate, and build trust across a wide and diverse range of people – customers, internal partners, suppliers, engineers, and leadership team.
A self-starting mindset.
Advanced knowledge of construction equipment operations.

Responsibilities

Develop new hydraulic system and component solutions.
Develop original or innovative approaches to engineering design, cost reduction, and problem solving.
Interface with hydraulic component suppliers to understand the design, fabrication, and use of their components.
Oversee the detailing and releasing of engineering drawings for the hydraulic components for which you are responsible.
Maintain CAD for hydraulic components (we use Creo).
Research and explore new technology.
Promote quality and continuous improvement philosophy.
Deepen your knowledge base of Caterpillar products, technologies, processes, services, and systems.
