Requirements

  • Preferably degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or a relevant technical subject. Postgraduate qualifications are an advantage.
  • Chartered or working towards chartership for Senior
  • Affiliation with a professional institution like IET, InstMC, or CIWEM, or in the process of working towards membership and nearing application.
  • Extensive experience in delivering process plant systems within complex engineering projects in the water industry.
  • Hands-on experience in water and/or wastewater projects.
  • Proficiency in digital design within design and construct projects.
  • Leadership within technical or discipline teams, emphasizing collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring projects meet required technical, legislative, quality, safety, and environmental standards and objectives.
  • Identifying and developing innovative and optimised technical solutions based on client needs and drivers.
  • Leading and coordinating work with multi-disciplinary teams (e.g., process, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and ICA).
  • Establishing and growing relationships with clients and capital alliance partners on project technical, commercial, and progress matters.
  • Supporting and leading design and advisory services relating to new and existing water and wastewater process plants, pumping stations, and ancillary assets.
  • Carrying out production and checking complex electrical detailed designs including calculations, specifications, reports, and drawings.
  • Technical delivery of multi-disciplinary projects, in a Design Lead capacity where assigned, using the latest digital design techniques.
  • Mentoring and performance development responsibility for assigned staff.
