Requirements

  • - Ideally you would have a minimum of 6 years’ post-qualification experience in and a good understanding of the legal and regulatory framework and market practices applying to securitisation transactions, however, if that is not the case, but you do have similar expertise in other debt capital markets transactions and clearly transferable skills, and are serious about your development, we would be pleased to consider your application.
  • - You must hold a current practising certificate in a common law jurisdiction.
  • - Have a growth mindset and an agile approach and be keen to get up to speed and settle into the team quickly, to identify ways to improve processes and practice for business, and to upskill in other areas which impact and bring opportunities to this business, such as ESG, Data, Tech Advances and Digitalisation.
  • - Be great at building trust and influencing others including senior internal stakeholders, and know how to get the best from your colleagues, network and external advisers to achieve more together.

Responsibilities

  • Provide sound, commercial and strategic legal advice, drawing from your experience and insights
  • Horizon scan and advise on changes in law and regulation and potential impacts and opportunities for our business
  • Be driven by excellent outcomes for clients and the Group, handling legal risks and delivering results
  • Come up with innovative ideas, challenge where appropriate, and build consensus
  • Collaborate across L&S to support the wider business and our community as a whole
  • Work well both as an individual and in groups, including in a friendly team which will help you develop your skills and knowledge in this area
