Responsibilities

  • Drive exploration and adoption of leading edge software technologies in signal processing, high resolution visualization of 3D models, usability, Artificial Intelligence
  • Be an internal technology promoter and take an active part in strategic decision-making
  • Build and manage a high-performance software engineering team by developing, mentoring and coaching each engineer as appropriate. Inspire and motivate the team members to achieve individual and project goals for on-time product delivery with exceptional quality.
  • Design and deliver cardiac mapping systems with best-in-class data visualization and usability.
  • Drive development of software requirements, architecture and functionality - with an emphasis on modularity and portability to allow reuse. Manage and enhance software architecture and technology stack to meet future needs and scalability.
  • Manage the research and prototyping of new and innovative solutions; manage feasibility studies of the design to determine if capable of functioning as intended.
  • Lead software development efforts with various external partners and subcontractors. Work with them to ensure that the work is getting done when it needs to be and with the quality and consistency we strive to deliver to our patients. Demonstrate strong and clear accountability for project success.
  • Plan, execute and track projects and resources to meet goals.
  • Ensure compliance with Abbott quality policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Work effectively in cross-functional teams consisting of Clinical, Design & Usability, Marketing, R&D, Quality, and Regulatory.
