Responsibilities

  • Manage the delivery of the design, appraisal and coordination with other multi-disciplinary contributors to projects.
  • You will be required to deliver projects to the required technical standards in a timely manner, reporting to the project manager as appropriate.
  • Work in a vibrant team delivering sustainable transport solutions on complex projects at various stages of development from planning, appraisal and environmental evaluation to detailed design, construction and handover.
  • Managing the delivery of technical designs for major interurban roads projects and also urban street design incorporating active travel and public transport infrastructure components.
  • Undertaking research and developing reports to provide technical advice to national transport authorities.
  • Ensuring that relevant legislation, regulations, policies, strategies and technical guidance is interpreted and followed.
  • Implementing the appropriate QA procedures for all deliverables and ensure compliance with H&S requirements.
  • Communicating effectively and in a team environment with colleagues and project managers, other internal design disciplines, clients and contractors.
