What qualifications are required for the Sexual Health Adviser position?
You must possess either a degree in Psychology, Health Promotion, or another relevant health-related degree, be an RGN/RMN (1st level), or have a CQSW qualification. Previous experience as a Sexual Health Adviser in a GUM clinic or equivalent setting within the UK is also required.
What are the main responsibilities of the Sexual Health Adviser?
Responsibilities include providing specialist sexual health advice, information, education, counselling to patients diagnosed with STIs including HIV, conducting initial assessments and referrals for disclosures such as domestic violence and sexual assault, issuing medications for PEP and PrEP, and managing a caseload of patients.
Is this a permanent position?
No, this is a 12-month fixed term contract position.
