Responsibilities

  • To support the Team’s Directors in identifying new target clients and in addition grow the business with existing clients by identifying new opportunities and idea generation. Core responsibilities to include:
  • Assist with the ongoing management of client relationships, identification of potential new clients and monitoring of risk.
  • Desk top analysis using proprietary systems, 3rd party subscription services and publicly available information.
  • Preparation of marketing materials, pitch books etc.
  • Structuring and pricing of new loan facilities and preparation of indicative term sheets for approval by senior management
  • Preparation of commercial proposals for submission to relevant internal approval authorities including calculation of returns using the Bank's internal risk models.
  • Liaison with internal departments including Financial Markets, Capital Markets & Advisory, Transaction Services, Loan Distribution Group, Sustainability etc. to ensure full range of bank products are available to clients and returns are maximised.
  • Collaborate closely with the Transaction Management and Portfolio Management functions through the facility execution process and throughout the client lifecycle,
  • Where necessary contribute to internal projects to support the team’s satisfaction of both bank and regulator requirements.
  • You will be expected to co-operate and share best practice with the Bank’s other Shipping Finance Teams in Amsterdam, Frankfurt, New York and Singapore.
  • Preparation of internal and external presentations, including supporting research material.
