What role will I be taking on at Hamwic House?
You will be working as a band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse, responsible for overseeing the shift, ensuring safe staffing, and supporting the delivery of care to patients.
What qualifications are required for this position?
You must be a qualified nurse with a degree or diploma, registered on the appropriate part of the nursing register, and have significant post-registration experience in a relevant specialty.
Is experience in oncology required for this role?
Yes, you should have experience in oncology and have completed your systemic anti-cancer treatments (SACT) training.
What are the working hours for this position?
The treatment area at Hamwic House is open Monday to Friday from 8 am to 8 pm, and on Sundays for blood tests and CVAD care.
Will I be involved in managerial responsibilities?
Yes, as a band 6, you will have managerial responsibilities, which include supporting staff, participating in audits, and managing a team of nurses and healthcare assistants.

Where will I be providing care to patients?
You will provide care at Hamwic House and will also support an outreach service at Lymington Hospital to treat patients closer to home.
