What is the primary location for the Sobell House Fellow position?
The primary location for this position will be at Churchill Hospital, Oxford, or the Nuffield Orthopaedic Hospital, Oxford.
Will the post holder be required to work at different locations?
Yes, it is a condition of all appointments that post holders are willing to work in any of the Trust’s locations.
What is the expected clinical service provision split for this fellowship?
The expected split of clinical service provision is 40% clinical service and 60% protected time for project work.
What is the primary focus of the project during the fellowship?
The primary focus of the project is to establish and develop a service for the management of metastatic bone pain.
What team will the post holder be working with during the fellowship?
The post holder will work with the OxMINT (Oxford Metastatic Intervention Team), which consists of various specialists including Palliative Medicine Physicians, Clinical Oncologists, Interventional Radiologists, and other relevant professionals.
What are the opportunities for senior trainees in this fellowship?
This fellowship offers senior trainees a chance to gain in-depth experience in symptom and pain management as well as develop service design and implementation skills.
