  • Required Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, education
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in software development with a focus on building large scale data science platform
  • 2+ years of experience in designing and building Python, Spark and Django microservices components
  • 2+ years of experience with deploying applications to public cloud (such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud), microservices architecture, and API integrations
  • Desired Qualifications:
  • Cloud Certification
  • Experience with Java J2EE, Kafka, GCP/Azure components, third party integrations
  • Understanding of Design Patterns and Best Practices
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies and a track record of delivering projects on time
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills as well as documentation practice
  • Experience participating in all aspects of the software development life cycle for cloud solutions, including planning, requirements, development, testing, and quality assurance
  • Experience troubleshooting incidents, identify root cause, fix and document problems, and implement preventive measures
  • Experience supporting technical efforts to design, build, and deploy cloud applications at the direction of lead architects, including largescale data processing
  • Ability to manage to production goals, deadlines, and various metrics
  • Ability to identify root-cause issues/improvement opportunities, and design approaches
  • Experience with a customer service mindset and a focus on continuous improvement
  • Experience in implementation of security concepts, and cloud native technologies

Responsibilities

  • Support the design, architecture, development & Integration of quantitative model development and operations platforms ensuring they align with the company's strategic goals and user experience objectives
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, data scientists, and UX designers, to translate business requirements into technical specifications
  • Contribute to the deployment and monitoring of model development platform, optimizing performance, reliability, scalability, and user experience
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand user feedback and iterate on product enhancements, ensuring the throughput and SLA requirements for model execution
  • Participate in low to moderately complex initiatives and projects associated with the technology domain, including installation, upgrades, and deployment efforts
  • Identify opportunities for service quality and availability improvements within the technology domain environment
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for low to moderately complex projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
  • Review and analyze technical assignments or challenges that are related to low to medium risk deliverables and that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternative technology domains
  • Present recommendations for resolving issues or may escalate issues as needed to meet established service level agreements
  • Exercise some independent judgment while also developing understanding of given technology domain in reference to security and compliance requirements
  • Provide information to technology colleagues, internal partners, and stakeholders
