Requirements

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills and a comfort working closely with engineering teams.
  • Experience with a modern high-level programming language (e.g. Java, Golang, Javascript, Python, etc.)
  • Experience with complex architectures and codebases (e.g. SOA or microservices).
  • Experience with public cloud service providers (e.g. Amazon AWS, Google GCP, Microsoft Azure) and modern deployment technologies (e.g. CI/CD, Kubernetes, docker).
  • Experience with advanced Linux and container based security confinement methods (SELinux, Apparmor, etc.)
  • What We Require:
  • 5+ years development or software engineering experience and a deep passion for information security.
  • Willingness & eligibility to obtain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • As a Software Engineer on our Security Infrastructure team, you will be hands-on and have wide-ranging impact for the security of Palantir and its customers. You will be responsible for:
  • Data Engineering: You will contribute to the team by developing our next-generation data storage and telemetry pipeline that collects and ingests terabytes of data per hour into a multi-petabyte data warehouse that powers our observability systems.
  • Security Application Development: You will develop various tools used to improve the security posture and self-management capabilities of our internal tools and customer-facing products.
  • Core Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the improvement, health, and maintainability of the end-to-end lifecycle of our data pipelines, which are used to provide timely, complete, and accurate information for defenders.
  • Work closely with the Infrastructure team to evolve and operate multiple highly performant, large-scale security data warehouses.
  • Develop tools that ingest, enrich, transform, and analyze data in Palantir Foundry to provide meaningful security insights.
  • Expand and improve software to aid in the detection and remediation of abuse on our platform.
