What type of work will I be involved in as a Solicitor in the Probate team?
You will handle a wide range of work including drafting Wills, Trusts, Lasting Powers of Attorney, and managing Trust and Estate Administration, particularly for complex high-value cases involving High-Net-Worth business and agricultural clients.
What qualifications are required for this position?
You need to have a minimum of 3 years PQE and either possess the STEP Qualification, be working towards it, or have equivalent technical skills and experience.
Is there an expectation for business development and networking?
Yes, you will be expected to participate in the growth and future development of the department, which includes building a client database and marketing the firm’s services through business development and networking activities.
Will I have the opportunity to mentor others in the team?
Yes, you will provide mentoring and support to more junior colleagues and work collaboratively within the team.
What kind of compliance standards should I adhere to?
You are expected to ensure adherence to compliance standards, including Lexcel compliance, in all your activities.
How will my financial targets be determined?
Financial targets will be agreed upon with the Department Head or Branch Partner.
How are client complaints handled?
You will be responsible for dealing with routine and difficult inquiries effectively and ensuring that all client complaints are addressed professionally and promptly to the satisfaction of the client.
