Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED and 5 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline and 3 years' experience; or 7 years' experience in a related field.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Prior experience administering Leave of Absence.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations as they pertain to benefits.
  • Strong PC skills including proficiency in Excel.
  • Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material.
  • Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills.
  • Detail oriented and data entry accuracy.
  • 3 years of direct work experience in Leaves.
  • Working knowledge of Workday or related HRIS.
  • Strong aptitude for helping customers and a customer experience focus.
  • Must be able to work in a highly structured environment.
  • Strong computer skills and be able to navigate through multiple screens.
  • Ability to adapt to constant change.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the full life cycle of Leave management, partnering with MetLife (our 3rd party provider) for FML and Disability.
  • Maintains employee benefit records and prepares documents necessary for implementing benefit coverage.
  • Maintains compliance with all legal requirements of employee leave benefit programs.
  • Advises employees on eligibility and claims procedures for FML and disability.
  • Administers leaves per defined policies & procedures. Processes return to work documentation in Workday from employees returning from Leave of Absence (LOA).
  • Interprets and communicates HR policies and procedures, both verbally and in writing. Communication channels include telephone, written inquiries, e-mail, or other technological interfaces.
  • Utilizes case management and knowledge application for research and documentation to update tickets for inquiries and issues when answering questions regarding leaves in a proactive and effective manner.
  • Answers Leave calls.
  • Processes leave-related pay.
