Responsibilities

  • Designs and innovates on products for their categories [pants, dress pants, shorts, denim & golf (all product)
  • Contributes to overall company product strategies
  • Partners with VP of Design in creating seasonal concepts
  • Builds adjacent creative direction for Golf
  • Stay up to date on menswear trends related to their categories
  • Translates customer needs into viable product ideas
  • Collaborates with merchandising team to bring new key ideas to categories
  • Creates a collaborative environment for team promotes development and mentorship of team
  • Attends retail trade shows and visits factories to stay up to date on industry and product trends and production innovations when required
  • Strong understanding of denim fabric, construction and washing
  • Responsible for creating detailed tech packs (with support of team) and ensures they are accurate
  • Adept at relevant design systems, (Adobe, Miro, Microsoft, BeProduct or PLM)
  • Contributes point of view in fitting and take notes/update tech packs accordingly
  • Creates clear and directional design boards, owns editing development to 2:1 development ratio in partnership with Merchandising
  • Comfortable presenting designs in variety of settings
  • Able to lead in assortment meetings with merchandising
  • Attends seasonal detail meetings and directs conversation of assortment, responsible for selecting trims and product details.
  • Keeps clear, open communication with production and merchandising
  • Responsible for pulling fabrics and trims for categories, has good understanding of fabric construction and attributes
  • Approves (with support of team) lab dips, trim sheets, fit samples and pre-production samples
  • Communicates all product details for site merchandising to input into website
  • Attends seasonal hindsight meetings and affects new development where required
