Responsibilities

  • Develops business partnership relationships with management, employees across all divisions to recommend, develop, communicate, and implement new approaches, policies, practices, and procedures to effect continual improvements using judgement that is consistent with regulations or government law.
  • Takes the initiative to lead corporate initiatives within the plant through effective communication.
  • Establishes and maintains effective employee relations.
  • Leads the plant’s recruiting efforts including development and retention of talent, diagnosing organizational development needs, and implementing effective solutions.
  • Demonstrates advanced competency for problem solving and customer and vendor interface skills.
  • Researches and analyses data information and implements to the use of new technology to drive improvement to the HR processes based on needs of the business.
  • Processes hourly payroll and performs duties associated with payroll and record keeping.
  • Maintains personnel files and employee databases.
  • Performs new hire orientation including pre-employment checks.
  • Complies with all government employment requirements.
  • Responsible for administration of benefits for the plant.
  • Supports employee engagement, inclusion, and plant culture.
