What are the primary responsibilities of a Staff Nurse in this role?
The primary responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualised care plans, supporting the day-to-day running of the ward, leading shifts when required, providing clinical supervision and mentoring to junior staff and students, promoting safe discharge planning, and engaging with service evaluation and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Is previous experience in an acute setting required for this position?
Previous experience in an acute setting is an advantage, but it is not essential as the Trust will provide all the necessary training required for the role.
What kind of ward will I be working in?
You will be working in Ashurst ward, which is an 11-bedded male psychiatric intensive care unit.
