Responsibilities

  • The District Manager for Victoria is responsible for overseeing the client services and experience, driving sales, people development, merchandising, and operational functions of their designated district of stores to deliver on store KPI’s and maximize profitability through payroll and asset protection. Leading a team of Store Manager’s and an Area Manager, the District Manager will collaborate with the field operations team to develop a culture of engagement, innovation and motivation within the store network. The District manager will collaborate with the support office team on company initiatives, and champion these with the store network.
  • Delivery of top line business KPI’s for district, including Sales, Conversion, Average Dollar
  • Ensure optimal staffing levels are being achieved through store rosters while adhering to Payroll budget goals
  • Monitoring Daily, Weekly and Monthly results and communicate to broader team
  • Completing weekly and monthly reporting
  • Identifying value added activities that increases individual KPI’s and cross-selling
  • Issuing and analysing monthly reports (Match-to-traffic, units per worked hour) and provide recommendations to ensure that staffing is in line with the respective store’s customer traffic
  • Monitoring services standards across all stores ensuring high customer engagement and satisfaction
  • Achieving store profitability targets by achieving sales targets and controlling store operating expenses
  • Establishing and fostering relationships with key field partners to ensure that your Store network’s needs are met and sales and profitability are maximized.
  • Ensuring operational effectiveness across all functions of the store environment
  • Ensuring all Sephora policies and procedures are being followed within the store network
  • Training and on-boarding new Store Managers
  • Partnering with Inventory Control Leads and Store Managers to ensure a strong inventory position in all stores
  • Partnering with the marketing team to ensure all in-store activations/events are able to deliver on sales objectives
  • Working with the store projects team for new store openings
  • Fostering an environment that provides development opportunities at all levels of the retail team
  • Directly coach and develop the Store Managers
  • Partnering with the field executives and their managers in developing the field team in their roles
  • Completing performance reviews for all direct reports, implement performance plans as and when required
  • Acting as the first point of contact for any store level HR issues
  • Reviewing and analyse store headcount to ensure the optimal team size and structure in all stores
