Responsibilities

  • Supplier Qualification: Support a multi-functional team by assessing supplier capabilities, auditing supplier quality management system & processes, etc.
  • Product and Process Qualification: Lead or support multi-functional teams to perform Product and Process Qualification (PPQ) on commodity parts, systems and field services according to applicable process descriptions and standards. Leading includes the planning, tracking, and reporting of project achievements as well as budget and resource needs.
  • Support the supplier quality assurance measures along the complete PPQ. Approve supplier process via submitted Manufacturing Quality Control Plan.
  • Perform source / virtual / desk inspection of suppliers of components, systems and field services in the area of responsibility.
  • Coordinate nonconformance processing at the supplier and ensure appropriate actions are taken to prevent recurrence.
  • Supervise supplier Key Performance Indicators and adjust quality, inspection, and development planning activities accordingly.
  • Facilitate recurring supplier qualification & development status meetings. Ensure qualifications are on track and potentials risks are identified.
  • Work with various Supplier Quality & Development tools and databases. Ensure data quality and transparency.
