Responsibilities

  • - Developing an understanding of Sustainability and Climate Change across different dimensions, including – regulatory, financial, marketing/PR & messaging and others
  • - Engaging with multiple departments such as finance, people and property, risk and compliance and more, to support our Net Zero strategy and targets
  • - Embedding sustainability into our culture and decision making
  • - Creating positive change through collaborating with our partners and suppliers
  • - Ensuring people make more sustainable choices through Vitality products and services
  • - Implementing a strategy around charitable giving, focusing on how we can use our unique business model and partnerships to help others make healthier choices
  • - Aiding those who face barriers to entry
  • - Adherence to regulatory requirements related to climate change (e.g. supporting the embedding of SS3/19, TCFD and other emerging requirements)
  • - Keeping up with emerging Sustainability market initiatives and practices
  • - Annual ESG reporting to Discovery including CDP, TCFD, ESG data and Sustainability report
  • - Internal and external communications around Sustainability
  • - Acting as a springboard for discussion and ideas with the Sustainability Team

  • - Create and prepare management reports as required
  • - Supporting at all Sustainability Committee meetings
  • - Represent the business as appropriate with external bodies or business contacts
