Responsibilities

  • The duty team lead will give advice and support for complex clinical presentations.
  • The duty team lead will complete the daily SITREP (previous day’s 111, MHCAP, Emergency, Urgent and Routine Triages, Staffing escalation, General escalation on a standard proforma)
  • The duty team lead will also look at any outstanding triages that have breached and establish why this has happened, ensure that they are triaged and escalate via EIRF, and problem solve to find solutions to prevent breaches in the future.
  • At times of peak activity or staffing shortages there is an expectation that team leads will carry out clinical triages or co-ordinate.
  • The Team leads will monitor staffing levels, formulate the team roster, carry out investigations, investigate concerns and contact patients to resolve issues, complete audits, monitor and sign off incidents, ensure the team get regular supervision and lead on meetings where required.
  • The successful candidate will also take an active role in recruitment and ensuring an optimum induction with successful competency level reached.
