Responsibilities

  • To provide managerial leadership in the development of services to drug and alcohol users within the Colchester locality area; taking into account Trust policy; national and local guidance, working in partnership with key stakeholders and partnership providers as well as other outside agencies ensuring the safe running of the drug/alcohol services.
  • The role will involve extensive liaison and consultation with partnership agencies and within the Trust.
  • The post holder will represent the Trust at critical forums both locally and regionally on matters relating to substance misuse promoting the local agenda and needs of service users.
  • To work closely with statutory and third sector agencies in the planning, development and delivery of services.
  • To provide leadership and supervision to practitioners, as well as advice and support and to manage the teams on a day to day basis.
  • To develop care pathways and operational policies and procedures in line with existing and emerging guidance and legislation.
  • To deliver training to other professionals consistent with the job role.
