What is the working week reduction in hours for NHS Scotland?
NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week effective from 1 April 2024, with no change in pay.
What kind of experience is required for this role?
The candidate must have previous experience of working with adults and the skills to engage and motivate others.
What kind of support will I receive in this position?
You will be fully supported by the occupational therapy and physiotherapy staff and will participate in supervision and personal development planning to aid in your continuous professional development.
What is the shift pattern for this position?
The shift pattern for this position is 5/7.
Will this role require participation in weekend or extended hours?
Yes, this post may require the post holder to participate in seven-day working and/or extended hours working.
How will I manage my patient caseload?
You will be expected to carry your own delegated patient caseload and treat patients as delegated by a qualified occupational therapist, physiotherapist, or assistant practitioner, according to set treatment protocols.
Is there any flexibility in working hours initially?
Yes, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the new 37-hour working week immediately, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week temporarily, for which you would be compensated until changes in rosters or working patterns are made.
