  • Elgin Energy is accepting applications for our 2024 Town Planner Graduate Programme.
  • The successful graduate would be expected to start in September 2024.
  • Our Town Planner Graduate Programme provides an intensive 18-month learning journey with the pre-construction team. The programme aims to give you experience across all areas of the development and construction process, preparing you for the role of Planning Project Manager.

Area of Responsibilities

Architecture & Urban Planning


  • Project manage and coordinate the submission of planning applications.
  • Review and discharge planning compliance. Appoint required consultants e.g. ecologists, archaeologists.
  • Submission of Section 5 applications.
  • Undertake research, answering queries and assisting in the preparation of reports and technical due diligence.
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary project team in Elgin Energy. Work closely with the Development, Legal, Construction, Grid, and Asset Management team.
  • Liaise with external bodies e.g. CRU and ESB to obtain licenses.
  • Engage with local authorities throughout the country to address queries.
  • Ensure that the provisions of Health and Safety are complied with.
  • Site visits.
